/now

What I'm doing right now.

A snapshot of what's loud in my life this month. Inspired by the /now page movement. Updated whenever my focus shifts, not on a schedule.

Building

Shipping Coach v0.9 at Social Champ. Our in-product AI assistant that helps users plan, write, and analyze content without leaving the app. Soft-launching to existing customers in May, public release later this summer. The MCP integration that lets you schedule posts directly from Claude or ChatGPT is already live and getting real usage.

Profitable. Approximately 33 people on the team. Used in 100+ countries. Canva talked acqu-hire in 2016, came back in 2017, we walked the second time. Vendasta offered roughly $3M in 2022, we walked from that too. None of those decisions have aged badly.

Writing

Mostly on LinkedIn. Shorter, more frequent. The long-form archive on this site has 50 essays going back to 2013. New posts here when something needs more than 300 words.

Finally put up the entire teenage notebook. 39 poems, three short stories, and 15 early essays from YT magazine. Most signed Age 17. Govt. College For Men. Karachi. Themes haven't changed in twenty years.

Speaking

Recent: +92Disrupt 2025 panel on the mental toll of building a startup. XSEED 2.0 at INSEAD + NIC Karachi (December 2025). SEIC Pitch Workshop (April 2026). CEO Club Pakistan (Movenpick Karachi, February 2026).

Open to invitations on Startup Survival Guide, Coder Turned Founder, and Balance Your Life Before It's Too Late. Speaker page has bookings and topics.

Reading

Re-reading The Hard Thing About Hard Things by Ben Horowitz this month. The chapter on telling people they're being fired hits different at 33 employees vs at three.

Diving

Charna Island season is winding down with the warmer water. Fewer trips this month. Working through unedited footage from the last marathon at Somar Goth. The snapper that bit back made the cut.

Earned the YouTube Silver Play Button in February 2026 for crossing 100K subscribers. The box arrived after my father passed. I have not opened it.

YouTube Silver Play Button awarded to Sameer Ahmed Khan

Personal

First Eid since my father's passing. Quieter than I imagined. Friday prayers and lunch ritual continues with the brothers. Still no one tells anyone we go because of him.

Praying. Diving when I can. Trying.
